The Weeds Are Winning!
That’s right, folks, you are watching a mielie in my garden.
The little one and I love our gardening sessions together. And to her there is nothing more exciting than to watch her maize pips grow in between daddy’s carefully nurtured flowers.
It stands a full 400mm high and is now sprouting a beard and the cob is beginning to swell.
I guess we are going to eat mielie-on-the-cob sometime.
