Love Power, or Power in Love
After my previous post about agreements, contracts and promises, a friend commented thus:
The person who loves the most has the least power
The conversation drifted to the possible inverse relationship between money and love. Not more money equals less love, no. I suppose it can be expanded to say that the party who has more money and/or less love has all the power to do what they like, including breaking promises or contracts or agreements. We see it everyday in the news and around us.
Or on the other side of that equation: The person who loves most will not break promises and will look for ways to honour the promise. Or similarly will not use his/her money to demobilise the “opposition” – ok it is a strong word but it is probably well understood in that context.
Any other thoughts? Please comment.
